Jeffs Trial Warren Should not be Convicted

I think that Warren Steed Jeffs should not be convicted!
Why?
There are several reasons why
1. Because they don’t have nearly a strong enough case against him
In the jeffs trial Warren is being charged with two counts of accomplice to rape and yet the person that allegedly did the raping has 0 charges filed against him.
Yeah that’s right they are trying to put Warren Steed Jeffs away for accomplice to rape and yet they have the guy who they think did the raping in the courtroom free as a bird.
Why are they not going after the guy who did the raping rather than the guy who married the girl to the guy that did the raping?
2. If warren Steed Jeffs gets convicted what does that say to every preacher pastor and other religious leader who performs marriages?
Let’s say a catholic priest marries a couple. A few weeks later the husband beets his wife and she goes to the priest for guidance the priest tells them how he thinks they can work the problem out. Then a couple of weeks later the husband gets angry and kills his wife.
Does this mean that the priest is responsible for the murder of the wife?
Would they charge the priest with accomplice to murder? But let the husband walk?
If Warren Steed Jeffs gets convicted does that not mean that every other religious leader should be held responsible for the actions of those they marry also?
3. Even if they do convict him, do they honestly think he’s not just going to appeal it to a higher court? Which shouldn’t be too hard considering that the chances of getting an unbiased trial in Washington county is highly unlikely; Which should be a perfect ticket to appeal to the higher courts.
So even if in the Jeffs trial warren does get convicted it shouldn’t be to hard for him to appeal to a court where the bias wont be so great and he will stand an even higher chance of walking free

hi, i personally read the book that elisa walls wrote “Stolen Innocence” and it personally made a great impact on me on they way she was consistently getting “crushed” in the flds community that she lived in, i do agree with the first comment i do believe that “alan” the ex husband should be arrested as well ..he knows better hes an adult as well, and i also believe with the courts that warren jeffs should be arrested because he as well knew that marriage was illegal for more than one reason ( incest,they were first cousins and he was 22 and she was 14) wow i cant even imagine having to be forced to go through that. I am not here to offend anyone of their religion i should have stated that at the beginnining of this statement. I was actually really interested in what was happening with the warren jeffs case if there was any recent news ?
We are also a live and let live denomination, striving for extreme tolerance. But something has to give, as far as our extremely high human cost over many years, on the part of Warren Jeffs, Leroy Johnson, and especially Nielsen’s preachings against us–the strive which we have collectively weathered for more than a century now–the torching of our sanctuaries, the drive-by shootings at our houses, the vandalism our elderly have endured, the defamatory preachings against us, the trafficking of our precious children, and other acts of war against us and our leaders, which has bordered on genocide in our statistically overwhelming funeral seasons, with so many youth sired in plural marriages incited by these UEP Trust contractors to scream “Satan!” at us, until they are so riled up to ram our cars and wish us all dead so openly. Our families have been some of the most respectable in America with a long and proud tradition of doing good, especially with FDR’s early support and appointments. And we are sorry that FDR’s team was not always nice to those of plural marriage movements, but that’s no reason to always try to alter our genealogy at the Mormon library in Manhattan or Salt Lake, to embarrass us by inserting the crazy prophet Joseph Smith in our genealogy on a younger side of our paternal line. The lying and deception in that is humiliating, sometimes as much as that of those trying to prove that those following their crazy prophet and sired out of plural marriages, can be and become each one of us and lead the roles they feel we are supposed to, better than we can ourselves. You should all ask Nielsen and Jessops to declare an end to the war against us and stop your youth from screaming “Satan!” at our church board presidents and clergy who sometimes are as devout to Jesus as anyone else and not gather groups of those sired out of plural marriages to ram our cars so proudly and intentionally against our leaders who lived closer to the real Jesus than those screaming “Satan!” at them will ever fathom.
