Me and Polygamy was created for the sole perpose of telling my side of the polygamy story, I dont want anybody to think that what I say is the sum all of Polygamy because I’m only one person in one polygamist group. There are Countless other Polygamist Groups and many other polygamists. who may or may not share the same views as me, and you should seek out their point of view also to get a more well rounded Idea of what Polygamy really is about.

I have some questions about the lifestyle I read some blogs about it. I have been watching the news when I hear about it. I guess my question is I am a black man. are there any black people or other persons of color involved in this kind of lifestyle? Are Person’s of color such as my self accepted in these communities? If interested who would I contact to get more information?

I am lookinh for Nathaniel M. Kingston “The Conservative United Latter-day Church of Jesus Christ”. I want infos on their faith and whereabouts. I am a mormon and I do believe in polygamy as a biblical institution. It was practice by many prophets of the old testament and by the patriarchs of the Israelites.
Thank you very much!

Hello,
I am a dutch photographer, who just graduated from the Royal Art Academy in The Hague. The other day I saw an Oprah episode about polygamy in Centannial Park and was very interested. It got me thinking about doing a poject about it, making a series of classy portraits* of , for instance, some families in Centennial Park (since the people there seemed very open and sympathatic there and because of the great scenery and beautiful houses). Do you think there are some families who might be interested in my project who I can contact?
It would be great if you’d let me know.
Thank you in advance.
Anne
* to get an idea of what kind of work I make, you can check out my website http://www.anneclairedebreij.com The series of familyportraits I’d like to make will probably be in the style of the first series, with a classical lightning (almost like a 17th century painting), this series is called “On knights in shining armour”.

Hello. First of all, I should mention I watched Big Love all the time. I’ve read and listened to many articles and news shows comparing the show and the “real life families” and all of it is so interesting to me. I am not religious or I guess I should say I don’t identify myself with one group in particular, just faith in “my reason for life” as I call it. I was reading your comments about the Green Brothers on the show and their close comparisons of the LeBaron brothers etc, and I was wondering if you would be able to tell me about the different groups in your religion. I know I’m not being too clear in what I’m asking but, I guess I just wanted to know what the differences in life stlyle and beliefs are among different groups. For example, members of the flds versus, centennial park groups and so on. Are there different extremes? Are some groups based on all the wrong reasons? What happens if someone wanders into their territory? I have so many questions, your web site should have a Hotline!! Thank you in advance for your time and info.

I’ve been quite curious about how truly living these principles taught by the early LDS prophets would be like. But I have had little luck finding any people who are living it to meet, visit, or blog questions to. I understand why you all would want to keep a really low profile, but that also means that society doesn’t know anything about you, and those who live the principle. “Big Love” has done more for tolerance of poly folk in its first season than they have done for themselves in about a century.
